For many years the Knox County Agricultural Museum has housed so many of the tools and machinery that our ancestors used in daily life. The volunteers of this group will be demonstrating many of these machines at work. Some of the demonstrations will include:

  • Wheat threshing
  • Baling of straw with a hay press (stationary baler)
  • Blizzard silo chopper
  • Corn shellers
  • Hit and miss engines
  • Burr mills
  • Shingle mill
  • Miniature hay press
  • Antique saws

Anyone is welcome to bring his or her vintage machinery and share in the fun of showing how it is done “Back in the Day”! If you have machinery you wish to display call to be added to the schedule.

Demonstrations will be at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (except during horse racing).
